Sexual problems and health issues can impact many aspects of a person's life, including physical and mental health, personal relationships and self-esteem.

A woman's sexuality is a complex interplay of physical, psychological, and emotional responses that affects the way she thinks and feels about herself. A woman's sexual health has major impact on her overall health and quality of life. Very often sexual problems are associated with feelings of isolation, low self-esteem and depression, and frequently impact patients’ mood state and relationships. With prevalences of up to 60%, sexual problems are very common in our society and yet, they remain among the most frequently overlooked and mismanaged patient complaints.  Here at the ISCSS we provide counselling for issues such as:

  • Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder in Women (HSDD)

  • Genital Pain (e.g., Dyspareunia)

  • Sexual Aversion

  • Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder in Women (PGAD)

  • Orgasmic Anhedonia (PDOD)

  • Vaginismus

  • Gender Nonconformance (Formerly Gender Identity Disorder)

  • Sexual Addiction in Women

  • Female Orgasmic Disorder

  • Arousal Disorder (Lack of Lubrication)

  • And many more ....

Male sexual dysfunction is a common health problem affecting men of all ages. The most common ones are erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation. Over 50% of men between the ages of 40 and 70 have some degree of ED. While ED is the best known and most talked about male sexual problem, many other issues may interfere with a man’s enjoyment of sex. For example, we are currently observing a steady increase of men complaining about low libido as well. Similar to women, male sexual problems remain among the most frequently overlooked and mismanaged patient complaints. Here at the ISCSS we provide counselling for issues such as:

  • Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder in Men (HSDD)

  • Erectile Dysfunction

  • Sexual Addiction in Men

  • Male Orgasmic Disorder (MOD)

  • Premature Ejaculation

  • Sexual Pain Disorder in Men

  • Gender Nonconformance (Gender Identity Disorder)

  • Delayed Ejaculation

  • Anhedonia (PDOD)

  • And many more…

Sexual health problems can have detrimental negative effects on the relationship. Studies, for example, have shown that premature ejaculation can lead to sexual problems in the female partner as well as substantial relationship dissatisfaction, in 20% causing the relationship to break-up. Even after successful treatment of the sexual health problems imbalances and negative dynamics may prevail.
