Meet Dr. Andrea Burri
Dr. Andrea Burri is the director and funder of the Institute for Sex Counselling and Sexual Sciences (ISCSS), where she conducts her state-of-the-art research and maintains her clinical practice.
Dr. Burri holds a Master degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Zurich and in Sexual Sciences from the University Clinic Hamburg-Eppendorf. In 2010 she obtained her PhD at King’s College London with a thesis on “The Genetic Epidemiology of Female Sexual Dysfunction”. Dr. Burri has worked for more than 15 years in the field of Sexual Medicine and has over 10 years of clinical practice. She is further EFS-ESSM certified Psycho-Sexologist (ECPS) and Member of the Educational Committee of the European Society for Sexual Medicine.
Prisca Hintermann - IT & Media Coordinator
With over 25 years of experience in IT and WebMarketing, Prisca Hintermann is the Head of IT and Media of the ISCSS. She is responsible for Marketing Communication Management, Service & Support, and Media Coordination.
Dr. Alex Clop - Genomic Researcher
Dr. Alex Clop is the genomic expert at the ISCSS. His research seeks to collect genomic information to help understand the molecular basis of multiple behavioural and disease phenotypes in domestic animals and humans. He uses cutting-edge approaches and technologies to study genetic variation, gene expression and epigenetic mechanisms associated to phenotypic changes.
Dr. Peter Hilpert - Statistician/Researcher
Dr. Peter Hilpert's main research interest focuses on social interactions - including romantic relationships. He has extensive expert knowledge in complex statistical analyses, such as multilevel analyses, or measuring behavioral exchanges and capturing rapid reciprocal processes using sophisticated computational methods.
